We care about libraries, about open-source, and about crafting software that actually feels good to use. That's the heart of CalicoPage: a small, friendly platform - built with the patron and staff experience at heart - that hands control back to the people who know it best. Pages, programs, notices, discovery, displays - all run by library staff.

We don't touch what already works. Evergreen stays the system of record for accounts, circulation, holds, and bibliographic data. Our job is everything around that - making sure patrons never feel like they've left your site just to search the catalogue, place a hold, or sign up for a program. When the easy path can't get us there, we're happy to go the extra mile rather than hand you something that feels like someone else's software.

Under the hood, CalicoPage is built on PhlatPage, a flat-file PHP CMS we made ourselves - simple by design, with no database required and every page just a folder of plain files.
